Francis Bacon’s art of the Traumatized Minds

Francis Bacon , the twentieth century painter, the creator of the iconic images and one of the pioneers of Expressionism created some of the emblems of traumatize mind through his images. His paintings were the reflections of the wounded minds damaged at the after math and the context of the two world wars. The post war trauma of humanity was symbolic in his paintings. He borrowed his inspirations from a number of movements and mediums in art that includes Surrealism, film, photography and Old Masters. Though he followed these doctrines of art he did forge an entirely unique style that he forged himself. Francis Bacon’s painterly style was individual and idiosyncratic. The approach he followed can never get to one just as a singular feeling but it would rather take them through a troubled tornado to put them amidst a hurricane of raw emotions.
